I have a new exhibition up at Lyspunktet Café in Ålesund, Norway this month!
You can see the pictures here!
These pictures all came to life this summer while I’ve been working in a tiny place in Vanylven on the west coast of Norway. The weather here can't really be called "summer" for people used to more southern hemispheres, still, it is summer here and the rain and clouds served me well as inspiration.
I’ve been very fascinated by shifting clouds, the beautiful light nights and how landscapes, colors, feelings change so quickly by weather and time of day. I was chasing the skies in the attempt of holding it a bit longer on the canvas.
During this summer I personally went through deep emotions and questions which found their way through the brush. Sometimes there are seasons when horizons blur and the familiar and known is clouded. Still, you know the mountain will be there once the storm passes and the sea is calm underneath no matter how fierce the wind.
